Example: quantity, rate, and invoice total
With no tax, three hours at USD 40 produce a USD 120 line total. A USD 10 invoice discount and USD 5 shipping charge produce a USD 115 final total. This is an arithmetic example, not a suggested price or tax treatment.
The calculation adds line taxes and shipping to the subtotal, then subtracts the invoice discount. Discount and shipping do not change the line tax calculation. An invoice needing a different calculation basis requires separate review.
A PDF invoice and its editable source
The PDF is the copy intended for the recipient. Saved browser drafts and client entries are local working data; clearing browser storage or switching devices can make those entries unavailable.
Region presets supply labels and tax modes, not verification of the applicable tax rate or registration details. The invoice number, currency, dates, payment details, and line descriptions should match the underlying transaction.
